| ASIAN INVASION!!!!!!!!
Patch - 9.3.0 Version - Beta Tagline - China & Korea In Europe Plus Fully Playable J-League!!
Author - Sky
Description - This dataabase is primarily designated for Asian football enthusiasts, gamers who want to try their hand managing an East Asian club, or anyone who normally manages in Europe and wants to see something different in the UEFA cups (like facing Asian competition). I originally intended to swap only one or two leagues, this was never intended to become public, but as I got to work I realized it was going to end up a much bigger project than I anticipated, and eventually I got more ideas and ended up spending almost a month on the whole thing. Encountered countless obstacles, errors, and crashes, and almost gave up many many times. League swapping is truly a pain in FM09.
Chinese Football
The two Chinese leagues are moved into Europe by swapping with the Russian league. The original Chinese league had a limit of 3 foreigners in the match squad, 4 total (can’t sign more), and you cannot sign any non-Chinese goalkeepers at any given time. The new system allows a maximum of 5 foreigners in the match squad, and unlimited foreigner signings, including goalkeepers. Clubs have fully functional reserves and youth teams. Youth facilities slightly upgraded for better quality regens. A handful (20 or so) of chinese players, mainly the internationals and U23 Olympics squad, have been improved slightly. Chinese club reputation, bank, and most player abilities have not been touched. Chinese clubs match income, reputation, and player ability is approximately that of English Championship clubs. ————————————
Korean Football
Korea and Korean leagues moved into Europe, switching Finland, clubs participate in European competition Korean league stays the same, maximum of 3 foreigners I think Korean youth academies improved for better quality regens Korean players mostly untouched ————————————
Japanese Football
The meat of the database. Data is primarily based on Seattle4Eva’s unfinished work. League swapped by me, swapping with Belarus. Foreigner limit of 4 in the match squad, 5 total in club League Cup and Emperor Cup is available Japanese academies improved, they should produce the best quality regens of the 3 Asian nations Clubs have functional reserve and youth teams ————————————
University League (New!)
The original Chinese league has been changed into a University league. These clubs have no players, and are assigned a handful of regens at the start. They have excellent academies, very little income with lots of debt to stop them from signing great players, and low reputation. Their purpose is primarily to produce more asian regens every few years, and a new challenge for you the gamer should you so desire. If you’re tired of managing real European clubs, you can try to manage a semi-professional type of club and use only regens from scratch (with a 3 foreigner limit rule). This league is also in Europe so maybe one day you can bring your kids and fight across Europe.
Currently this league only has Chinese universities (based on the actual, most famous universities in China), but I originally planned to put Universities and Football Schools from other nations. Maybe this can be expanded in future updates. If you don’t like this, then don’t load “China” when you start a new game. (If you want the actual Chinese Super League, choose Russia, see below in the bugs section)
————————————
Transfers
Major European transfers have been updated by hand to the best of my ability (ie Diego and Cannavaro to Juve, van Gaal as Bayern manager) Asian transfers updated (mostly Chinese and Japanese, as I am unfamiliar with Korean football) ————————————
What’s Different?
Russian clubs removed, most Russian players removed (see below). The famous ones like Arshavin, Akinfeev, Pavlyuchenko, Zhirkov retained. Belarussian clubs disabled (they have no league/fixtures), but they still occasionally produce regens. Belarussian players untouched. Finnish clubs moved out of Europe into Asia (see below). All of the nations mentioned above are still available and participate in international fixtures. Chinese, Korean, and Japanese clubs participate in UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Some of you might be asking why put th Asian clubs into Europe, especially at the expense of Russian clubs like Zenit? The reason is because, quite simply, Asian competition sucks. The Asian Champions League expansion is not updated, I suppose SI didn’t have enough time, but the actual system was revamped by the Asian FA and many crucial changes were made that are not yet implemented in FM. Two teams instead of only one can now advance from the group stages in the new ACL. The best Asian clubs such as UAE, Saudi, Egyptian and Iranian leagues, are not available. ACL in FM09 doesn’t feel authentic at all. When one manages a club, one usually wants to achieve all they can for the club. But in the original FM09, there is no ambition for managing an Asian club, because winning the ACL is not that hard, you face lots of clubs with mostly grey players, or players that lack match fitness because their club has no league system and no fixtures. With AzN Invasion! database, even if you manage a European club, you may face Asian clubs in the CL and Europa instead of having to wait until you win the CL to play in the World Club Championship the next season. The Belarussian and Finnish clubs are replaced, and as a result, the Asian clubs usually provide tougher competition (especially in 5+ years when their regens mature). The J-League itself is a pleasure to play. If you can’t accept the Russian, Belarussian and Finnish clubs and league being removed, then don’t download this database.
If you want the full experience, choose these leagues: Japan, Korea Republic, China, Russia. And then any European or South American league you desire, like England, Italy, Spain, Holland, Brazil. That’s the setup I used, and I ran the game on holiday to 2014 with no issues. Sometimes a Chinese or Japanese regen has a russian first name like Valery Takahara, but it’s not too common. Koreans aren’t affected by this. DOWNLOAD |
